TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR PERSONALITY

Often the most difficult part of mental illnesses is overcoming the stigma attached to them. Schizophrenia impacts the thoughts, perceptions, emotions and behaviour of an individual and is commonly misconcieved as a ‘split personality’ disorder.

Psychosis is one of the main symptoms of Schizophrenia where it can be hard to determine the true reality in their life. Symptoms can also include delusions, hallucinations or confused thinking.

HOW WE HELP

As with any mental illness, the treatment for Schizophrenia will differ for each person. Antipsychotic medications and psychological therapies are the most beneficial treatment paths. It is now a manageable and treatable condition where most people are able to live a fulfilling life.

Maintaining social connections and supports within the community are essential and we’re here to help support individuals and their families.
