CREATING A COMMUNITY

Peers and others of similar lived experiences can provide beneficial support and connection using their own learned experiences and coping strategies.

HOW WE HELP

Creating a community of support is important and by using peers as support agents, or ‘friends’ who are trained to provide social and emotional assistance, it helps to create a safe and trusting environment for the individual.

Working hand in hand with clinical support, peer support strategies have been proven immensely beneficial where a supportive community and like-minded connection exists.
