COPING WITH DISCOMFORT

Overwhelm, panic attacks, irritability and feelings of worry are all manageable symptoms of anxiety and depression. These symptoms are normal for everyone to encounter, but when these begin to affect your daily life it’s best to seek further advice.

Symptoms of depression can include low moods and lack of motivation, sleep disturbances, concentration difficulties and changes to eating.

There are different types of anxiety which can present different symptoms, including social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or generalised anxiety. Often there is difficulty in managing fear and worry, relentless panic, sleep problems, headaches and nausea.

When anxiety becomes out of control, symptoms can lead into depression. Both conditions are treatable with the right support.

HOW WE HELP

There is no ‘one box fits all’ approach to mental health conditions, instead implementing various tools into a ‘toolbox’ can help individuals to access the best coping strategy at their time of need or when certain situations arise.

A combination of tools and strategies could include therapy, medication and peer support networks.

OUR PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Our programs are individually tailored and we can help to arrange services for yourself, your loved ones or carers that help makes life a little bit easier.

This could include:

  • Domestic support
  • Travel and transport
  • Peer to peer support services for individuals or their carers
  • Social outlets

Depending on your level of support required, Mental Health services can be covered by NDIS. We can assist you in gaining the most out of your funding and finding the right level of support required for your family.
